Citycare Property wins Queenstown Lakes District Council Facilities Management Contract

Citycare Property is pleased to announce that effective 1 July, 2025, it will begin facilities management services for Queenstown Lakes District Councils (QLDC) assets across the region.

This contract with QLDC covers over 120 assets including iconic buildings like Queenstown Event Centre, Wānaka Recreation Centre, Lake Hayes Pavilion, Frankton Library and the Queenstown Memorial Centre.

Citycare Property will provide support for many aspects of building maintenance including HVAC servicing, pest control, and trades such as plumbing and electrical as well as general building maintenance and upkeep and project work.

Citycare Property will support QLDC’s assets through an extensive network of local subcontractors and a local team based in Queenstown. While this delivery method is a marked change for QLDC, Citycare Property has engaged with QLDC staff and internal mobilisation teams to ensure a seamless transition and minimal disruption for staff and the community.

CitycareProperty is proud to be in partnership with QLDC and to have been chosen to act as kaitiaki of the places and spaces that the Council and the community are justifiably proud of. The Queenstown Lakes district is an important gateway to Aotearoa New Zealand and is an attractive destination for international and domestic visitors alike – as well as offering an amazing lifestyle to those who call Queenstown Lakes home. Being selected as the facilities maintenance provider of such an important and extensive network of assets is a significant endorsement of Citycare Property and our ability to deliver a world-class service for our customers. We look forward to many years partnership delivering outstanding support to the Queenstown Lakes District Council and its communities.
